the thin yellow line

the year that i started high school our school board figured out that they could save an assload of money by having less buses on the road. what they did was pick up a load of high school kids and after dropping them off make a run for some elementary school kids.

what this meant was that high school classes had to start 45 minutes earlier at, get this, 8:15am. that's eight... one... fiver... folks. what kind of sadistic bastards would do that to sleep deprived teenagers just to save a buck or two or nine hundred thousand as it was in this case?
