no photoshop tomfoolery here, this is pretty much straight out of the camera with the exception of a little exposure adjustment. this weird effect was from putting the 250d close up lens on the 85mm. it does this weird halo / soft-focus effect on things that are out of the depth of field.

the alternate explanation is that the camera was able to capture maud's true nature and she's totally evil. come to think of it, i do have some mysterious cuts that i can't explain.
